Our Eider down is hand collected from the birds nest at Eider duck sanctuaries. For generations farmers have been nurturing these birds. The birds are not harmed because they are protected by law. The farmers only take the down from the nests when the nesting period is over as not to disturb the birds. The duvet is covered with our German light weight chemical free fabric - 60% Micro Modal ( beach wood cellulose fiber) + 40% Egyptian combed cotton with piping in snow white with brilliant silver threads and sealed baffle box stitch. As with all our duvets it comes with our Ultra Fresh guaranty for freshness and hypoallergenic. Note: The Micro Modal is a much softer silkier fiber which also can brreath and absorb more than cotton. We can fill our duvets with more or less ounces if you wish.
